Naomi Watts

Watts (born 28 September 1968) is an British actor from Britain. Her family
relocated to Australia and she made her film debut there in the film For Love
Alone (1986) and then appeared in three shows on television, Hey Dad.. (1990),
Brides of Christ (1991), and Home and Away (1991) as well as in the movie
Flirting (1991). Watts made the move to America in 2000. She was initially
struggling as an actress. In actuality she was able to fill small roles in
films before becoming an aspiring actress in David Lynch's Mulholland Drive
psychological thriller. This was the beginning of her rise to fame
internationally. Watts was later a gruelling journalist in the horror film The
Ring (2002). She was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actress for her
portrayal of a grieving mother in Alejandro film 21 Grams (2003). Her
popularity increased with her appearance in I Heart Huckabees (2004). King Kong
(2006), Eastern Promises ((2007)) and The International (2009). Watts was also
nominated for the Academy Award as Best Actress for her role in The Impossible
(2012). In the 2010s she appeared in films such as Birdman (2014) St. Vincent
(2014), While We're Young (2015), The Glass Castle (2017) and Luce (2019).
Watts was also a star in blockbuster film, appearing in Divergent (2015)-2016.
