Tauheed Epps (also known as 2 Chainz), is an American rapper and hip hop artist. Georgia born, he formed the hip hop duo Playaz Circle together with a high-school friend. Their debut album, 'Supply and Demand It was not a huge success. Epps later released "Based on a T.R.U. Story', his debut studio album. It was an enormous hit and debuted at the top spot on the US Billboard 200. Within the first week of its release, it was sold 147,000 copies. His success with this album has made him famous and he quickly rose to the top of the US's hip-hop scene. He's been nominated for six Grammy awards so far, out of which he has won one, for his track 'No Problem'. In 2013, he caused controversy after he was found with marijuana and promethazine onboard a departure flight from Los Angeles International Airport. The incident didn't hinder his popularity. The latest album of his studiocalled "Pretty Girls Like Trap music', was released in June 2017. "Based on the T.R.U." Story, 2 Chainz's debut studio album is both his first major release and his most commercially successful. The album was a great success. It climbed to the top of the US Billboard 200 and sold 147,000 copies in just one week. In the course of the year, it eventually sold more than 623,000 copies. The album, with hit singles such as "No Lie", 'Birthday Song', and'I'm Different' was nominated as the 'Best Rap Album' at the 55th Grammy Awards. The reviews were not all positive. 2 Chainz got married to Kesha Ward on March 31, 2013. The couple have three kids, Heaven, Harmony, and Halo. He is not only an extremely accomplished professional, but he's known for his brushes with the law. He's been detained multiple times for drug possession.
