Bonnie Wright

Bonnie Francesca Wright (born 17 February 1991) is an English actress, model, director, and activist. Her most well-known character is the role of Ginny Weasley which is the Harry Potter film series's main character. Born in London, Wright portrayed the role for 10 years before she was chosen to play the character as the character in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part II (2011). Wright appeared in several independent films following the show. These films were mixed reviews. She was the stage's first lead character in Peter Ustinov's The Moment of Truth at the Southwark Playhouse in 2013.Wright graduated from University of the Arts London in 2012 with a bachelor's diploma in filmmaking. Following her graduation from the University of the Arts in London in 2012, she began producing short films for the production company BonBonLumiere. Her first film she directed was the coming of age drama Separate We Come. Separate We We Go (2012). The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival to high critical acclaim. She also directed Know Thyself (2016), that starred Christian Coulson, as well as Sextant (2016). Both featured landscape and emotion. Wright's trilogy Phone Calls, which was first shown at the Tribeca Film Festival 2017, comprised three episodes. Medusa's Ankles (2018), starring Kerry Fox and Jason Isaacs was released by Wright. It is based upon A. S. Byatt’s The Matisse Stories. She has directed music videos for Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn. Wright has been a spokesperson for Greenpeace and Lumos and has been recognized for her environmental activism.
