Mila Kunis was baptized Milena Kunis in Chernivtsi (Ukraine) on August 14, 1983. Kunis was seven years old when she old, immigrated to America along with her parents Elvira und Mark Kunis. Later, she settled in Los Angeles. It proved to be an uneasy beginning for the Kunis family that came to their new home with just $250 in their pocket. However, Kunis' parents both gave up professional careers to move out of their homes, were determined to make a better living for their kids. Mark, a former mechanical engineer, soon was employed as a taxi driver, while Elvira was a teacher of physics in Ukraine and later became the manager of an establishment for pharmacy. Kunis acknowledged that he did not understand American culture at first. I didn't get the American culture. I couldn't comprehend the language. My essay for admission to college started with the sentence, "Imagine being blind and deaf as a child." It was like moving to the States. It was easy to forget. Milena Markovna Kunis was the daughter of Mark Kunis (Ukraine) and Elvira (Chenivtsi), Ukraine. Her birth date was on the 14th of August, 1983. She has an older brother. Her mother works as an Physics teacher and her father owns a pharmacy. His father is a mechanical engineers by profession. When she was 7 years old, older, her family relocated to Los Angeles. In Los Angeles, she was a student at Rosewood Elementary School.When she was just 9 years old, she began taking acting lessons. She auditioned for a few commercials, and began her career in her first television role on 'Days of Our Lives' in 1994.She starred in small roles as a young actor in "Honey, We Shrunk Ourself and 'Santa with a Muscle' and the Angelina Jolie's moviecalled "Gia". In 1998, she was given the role of Jackie Burkhart in the hit sitcom "That 1970s Show". She received rave reviews for her performance, and was then asked to lend her voice for the role in 'Family Guy' in the role of Meg Griffin.
