Padma Lakshmi Bio
Padma Parvati Lakshmi (born September 1st, 1970) was born in Chennai. Lakshmi was two years old when her parents divorced. Her mother emigrated to America to escape the shame of divorcing in India. Lakshmi lived for two years with her maternal grandparents in Chennai prior to her move to the United States. The couple divorced, and she has two younger siblings. Lakshmi, who shares her last name with the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity, grew up first in New York and then in Los Angeles with her mother and stepfather. She returned to India for a few months every year to visit family. Padma Lakshmi started acting in 1999. She was first seen in the movie "Figlio di Sandokan" which was which was an Italian pirate film. Then, she was an important role in 'Caraibi' (Pirates: Blood Brothers), the drama about pirates of the 17th century. In 2001, she was in a comedy role supporting a singer in discos in the film 'Glitter.' Padma is married to Adam Dell, a ventu
